BenchVoice FAQ

Direct answers before you commit a season.

These answers are grounded in the current product story: TestFlight access, planned Pro packaging, free shared viewers, team game tracking, MyPlayer, Shooting, Community, export, and support.

Getting Started

What is BenchVoice?

BenchVoice connects team game tracking, MyPlayer development, Shooting, shared updates, Community comparison, reports, and exports into one basketball progress loop.

Who is BenchVoice for?

BenchVoice is built for coaches and stat keepers who run the team record, players who want a focused development lane, parents who need shared updates, and trainers who track individual work.

What should I do first?

Choose the lane that matches the job: Team Game for live tracking, MyPlayer for development, Shooting for reps, Community for comparison, or Shared Team Access for the team update.

Is there in-app help?

Yes. The in-app Guide gives direct answers for setup, live capture, MyPlayer, Community, sharing, import/export, metrics, and product-lane questions without turning every screen into a tutorial.

Pricing and Access

Is BenchVoice available now?

BenchVoice is currently distributed through TestFlight while the paid App Store launch is prepared and verified.

Who pays for BenchVoice Pro?

BenchVoice Pro is planned for the full workspace: team games, MyPlayer, Shooting, Community, shared updates, reports, and exports.

Do players and parents have to pay?

The planned launch model keeps Shared Team Access free for read-only viewers. Players, parents, assistants, and family viewers can use coach-shared team links without paying for coach tools.

What pricing is planned?

The current site lists planned launch packaging: a lifetime-first BenchVoice Pro offer, with small monthly and yearly alternatives. Final purchase behavior still depends on App Store Connect and sandbox verification before public paid launch.

Sharing and Data

How do shared team updates work?

The team operator publishes the team update, and Shared Team Access gives viewers a clean way to follow that record.

Where does Community fit?

Community belongs with MyPlayer. It turns shooting work, rankings, tiers, percentile, category charts, and weekly movement into a scoreboard players can keep checking.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Export and restore paths are part of the product promise so team data remains portable.

What can shared viewers change?

Shared Team Access is read-only. Coaches control the official team update, and viewers do not become paid editors of the team workspace.

Product Capabilities

Can BenchVoice track a game live?

Yes. Live Game supports the game record: score, fouls, lineups, substitutions, shot locations, timeouts, event history, and corrections.

Does BenchVoice handle player development?

Yes. MyPlayer gives athletes a focused place for goals, practice logs, shooting, focused activity, progress, awards, and Community scoreboards.

What does Shooting do?

BenchVoice Shooting logs focused shooting sessions, zone work, scorecards, progression, awards, and weekly activity signals.

Is BenchVoice an AI chatbot?

No. BenchVoice focuses on basketball tracking, player development, game evidence, and practical next steps from the data you enter.

Troubleshooting

What should I include in a support request?

Include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, BenchVoice build number from TestFlight, the lane you were using, reproduction steps, screenshots if useful, and whether iCloud sync, shared links, export, or restore was involved.

What if a shared team link looks stale?

Ask the coach or team operator to confirm the official update was republished. Shared viewers see coach-controlled data, so publishing status matters.

What if sync is not working?

Confirm the device is signed into iCloud, iCloud Drive is enabled, connectivity is available, and then use the in-app Sync Diagnostics or contact support with the build number and steps.

Where do I get help?

Use the in-app Guide for contextual help, read the Guide page for the main workflow, or email support@benchvoice-basketball.com.
